SUBMISSION INFORMATION

Submission Guidelines:

Poetry: Send us up to five poems in one document. We’re interested in prose poetry, formal poetry, hybrid work, and everything in between.

Prose: Submit one piece of prose per submission, fiction or creative nonfiction, no longer than 5,000 words.

Visual Art: We’re interested in all kinds of art and design, including photography, painting, collage, comics, and more. Please send us up to five images. If you have work that you see as a series, send us up to ten. Use the highest resolution you can so that we can evaluate your work fairly. If you are unable to send the work as an attachment through the submission form, please send additional files to us at editors@crayfishmag.com

Other: Some of the best submissions don’t fit into categories. If that’s where you work, this box is for you. If it can live on the web, we’d love to give it our attention.

Simultaneous submissions are welcome, but please let us know if it’s accepted elsewhere. We cannot publish previously published work. Also, this is a space for humans. While we know AI can be helpful, we are not interested in AI-generated pieces.

All submissions must go through our Submission Management System Duosuma.

Copyright Information: Upon publication CrayfishMag secures copyright and first electronic rights. We ask to use the work to promote the issue and will seek additional permission, if necessary, to use it in any future printed anthologies or collections. After publication such rights will automatically revert to the author who may republish the work listed above elsewhere and without fee, but only with proper notification and acknowledgment to CrayfishMag.
